The selection of products listed here thus reflects specific operating conditions and applications focussing on heat resistance. In terms of the design of the hoses, you will mainly find clip hoses here, but also vulcanised and extruded hoses or film hoses. As many of our fabric types are particularly heat-resistant, our products can be used in high-temperature applications.
Our safety and quality requirements and our experienced employees enable you to find exactly what you are looking for.
Depending on the substances, gases or liquids to be transported, the required temperature ranges or the expected mechanical loads, we have a wide range of high-quality technical fabrics and knitted fabrics made of glass, polyamide, polyester and aramid fibres such as Nomex® or Kevlar® and even ceramic material at our disposal. Many of the fabrics we use are particularly heat-resistant and can therefore be used in high-temperature applications. Special rubbers such as silicone, Neoprene® and CSM and special elastomers such as Viton®, Nitril® or butyl are used for the coating.
Incidentally, the TPV (thermoplastic processing) hoses produced by the Masterflex Group using the thermoplastic manufacturing process are made from a thermoplastic rubber. The performance characteristics of vulcanised rubber, such as heat resistance and low compression set, harmonise perfectly with the easy processability of thermoplastics.
A whole range of hose types are available under the temperature-resistant or heat-resistant hoses tab. In terms of hose design, you will mainly find clip hoses here, but also vulcanised and extruded hoses.
ConstructionManufacturing process
Depending on requirements, we can manufacture heat-resistant hoses in various designs. In all extruded hoses, the metal spiral is moulded into the design to prevent rotation and displacement. This firm connection between the plastic and the spring steel wire means that extruded spiral hoses can evenly absorb bending stresses around the transverse and longitudinal axes. As a result, spiral hoses are characterised by a lower sensitivity to torsion and kinking due to their design. These hoses also typically exhibit symmetrical folding behaviour and are also kink-resistant.
