As part of an automotive project with an automotive supplier for vehicle interiors, the Masterflex Group has once again demonstrated its expertise in customised system solutions. The requirement: a ready-to-install pneumatic hose solution as an assembly set for seat systems. The result: a noticeable increase in efficiency during assembly and significant time savings.
This Masterflex Group pneumatic hose solution was customised precisely to the application - including integrated connectors, markings and protective components. The project shows how engineering services can optimise industrial processes in a targeted manner.

The world's first cradle-to-cradle compliant spiral hose!
We present a cradle-to-cradle compliant hose prototype made of biodegradable polymer. Further development steps include the selection of environmentally friendly adhesives, additives and wire solutions. The current hoses will now be made ready for series production and will gradually expand and transform the product range.

Pneumatic and media-conducting hoses - customised assemblies as ready-made hose sets
Success in the context of a customer project in textile machine construction. Instead of individual plastic hoses, Masterflex supplied fully assembled hose sets, ready to use! The result: significant time and cost savings for the customer and freed up capacity for their employees.

NEW: Hoses with innovative TPA lining
It is made from a single piece ("moulded") and therefore absolutely smooth: our new hose with innovative TPA lining has optimum flow properties, is energy-saving and easy to clean. Application-optimised PUR compensates for profiling and gives the hose its unique inner smoothness and freedom from edges.
The new hose can be combined with a wide range of materials. This means that it can be further modified - for example in terms of its resistance to abrasion and chemicals. In addition, the inner lining can be realised with different Shore hardnesses so that the flexibility of the hose can be individually adapted to the requirements. In contrast to the inline and performance hoses, the colour of the inner and outer wall can be changed individually. Additives such as antistatic agents or UV stabilisers can also be added or the sliding properties can be further improved.
For the new hoses, we offer permanently moulded flanges for absolutely tight connections. Further development of the hoses for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries is also being planned.
NEW: Hoses made from bio-based material
We have long been aware that sustainability is a principle of modern thinking and action and the key to a better future. We want to offer our customers a product alternative that they can be sure is manufactured in a resource-saving way. We have therefore expanded our product portfolio to include a hose made largely from bio-based plastic - the Master-PUR L Bio Based.
The Master-PUR L Bio Based is made from a material that contains over 50 per cent bio-based plastics. It is made from corn, sugar cane or cellulose, for example.
Naturally, our customers can rely on the proven high Masterflex quality of this hose. The hose has a slightly lower abrasion resistance, but is naturally resistant to microbes and hydrolysis.
Another happy customer after successfully realising plastic hose development solutions
When a customer's development project has been successfully realised and the development solution even promises new design ideas for industrial applications, the eyes of Niels Mitzlaff, Head of Smooth Hose Development at Masterflex Group subsidiary Novoplast Schlauchtechnik, understandably light up. With some development solutions, even the plastic hose lights up in the end. The companies Sitraplas GmbH and Novoplast Schlauchtechnik have combined their expertise in the production of light-diffusing and light-scattering compounds and customised hose extrusion for the project of light guide manufacturer Mentror.
The result has attracted a lot of attention in the industry
Using the TPE-S compound Sitralen (EN-LIGHT series), Novoplast Schlauchtechnik has once again acted as the ideal project partner and solution finder, extruding a customised flexible tube that impresses with its homogeneous light diffusion, flexibility and high-quality haptic properties. Sitraplas GmbH Sales Manager Frank Puhlmann was highly satisfied with the collaboration.

Extruded hose systems in the 0.5 to 50 mm diameter range from Novoplast Schlauchtechnik are used in various sectors, including industrial technology, the automotive industry, automation, medical technology and many others.
