Quality management in the spiral hose business
Standardised processes, high quality: Audits are an integral part of our quality management, which means that you can rely on standardised processes and high quality. This is also demonstrated by our ISO 9001 certification.
We attach great importance to quality
This applies equally to our products and processes. To ensure consistently high quality, we are certified in accordance with ISO EN 9001 (German version).
The quality management system installed at Masterflex stands for the continuous improvement of processes, products and/or services. It is geared towards the fulfilment of customer requirements as well as the fulfilment of normative and legal requirements for products and/or services.
Regardless of whether it is hose by the metre, the assembled and tested hose line or hose systems - the interaction of quality components in compliance with standards and regulations forms the basis for our products and services.
The principles of our quality policy
Certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015
DIN EN ISO 9001 is the most important and best-known quality management standard. It defines the requirements for a quality management system and is an internationally recognised standard.
TÜV Nord has confirmed that we apply the management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 in compliance with the standard. The scope of application covers the development, manufacture and sale of technical hoses, hose components and connections. The certification proves traceable and customer-orientated processes, maximum reliability in product quality and adherence to delivery dates as well as a constant striving for improvement.
ISO 9001 certification is the most important national and international standard in quality management (QM) and a globally recognised standard. For certification to be successful, a company's core processes must be regulated in accordance with the latest standards.

Here you will find our declarations of conformity, with which we as a manufacturer officially confirm that we comply with the applicable directives and safety standards of the European Union during production.
Factory certification according to DIN EN ISO 10 204-2.1
All products sold by Masterflex comply with the currently valid catalogue information and the specifications and properties contained therein. The verification of and compliance with these specifications and properties is ensured by our quality assurance in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The products are tested for the following properties: Wire thickness, wire position in the hose profile, wall thickness, pitch, inner and outer diameter, length, weight, material properties, surface resistance, bending radii, abrasion resistance, chemical and mechanical resistance, compressive strength, vacuum resistance.
Quality testing in practice: how our FishTec hose was tested

During the certification process, the Master-PUR H FishTec was subjected to a destruction scenario under real conditions and demonstrated excellent material properties and high resistance to stress cracking. The hose offers numerous advantages over conventional hoses and increases productivity in fish farming and aquaculture.
The robust hose made of high-quality polyurethane has a smooth inner surface that enables optimum flow speed during transport processes and prevents the formation of deposits. The new hose solution is resistant to UV radiation, ozone and many chemicals - and fulfils the strict Norwegian standard NS 9416:2013.
Masterflex spiral hoses made of PUR fulfil DIN 26057
Our spiral hoses made of polyurethane (PUR) fulfil all the requirements of the national standard DIN 26057. But that's not all: we played a key role in the development of DIN 26057 and adapted to the new requirements at an early stage. As a result, we were one of the first companies on the market to guarantee the new standard for our polyurethane spiral hoses in accordance with DIN 26057.
DIN standard 26057 defines the requirements for spiral hoses made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which are reinforced with steel wire and have a corrugated outer contour. These hoses are used for conveying granulates and powdery substances, dusts and bulk materials. The new standard precisely describes and regulates the conditions and procedure for testing the hoses.
Internal tests by our quality department have fully confirmed the standard for our spiral hoses. Hose types from the L-F, L, H and HX series (including the electrically conductive, antistatic, flame-retardant and MHR variants) are available in accordance with the new DIN standard. Hoses for the food, pharmaceutical and medical sectors are excluded from the standard.

Customer survey: Sales employees have "high consulting expertise"
In order to better understand the various customer segments, we regularly conduct customer surveys. The results show that there is no such thing as a typical Masterflex customer. There are partners from the trade, OEMs and end customers who have different needs. Some prefer to talk to our sales staff in person, others are mainly online and use our web shop.
The results of the survey show that we are on the right track. Despite different needs, everyone finds a suitable approach to our products and solutions.
The praise for the consulting expertise of our sales staff clearly shows what characterises Masterflex in direct customer contact. Many customers see our sales staff as reliable partners who are able to select the right connection solutions.
